Submissions are invited from Works Contractors Only.

Each works contractor candidate should propose a minimum of one and a maximium of three works specialists for mechanical works and also a minimum of one and a maximium of three works specialists for electrical works, a minimum of one and a maximium of three works specialists for lifts and a minimum of one and a maximium of three works specialists for the supply and installation of aluminium windows, curtain wall, screens and doors.

Candidates should complete the appropriate assessment questionnaires for each of the disciplines i.e. the overall application from a candidate should include the questionnaire documentation for the works contractor and PSCS (QW1), the completed questionnaire documentation for the proposed mechanical works specialist (QW3) from a maximium of three different firms, the completed questionnaire documentation for the proposed electrical works specialist (QW3) from a maximium of three different firms, the completed questionnaire documentation for the proposed lifts works specialist (QW3) from a maximium of three different firms and the completed questionnaire documentation for the proposed windows & curtain wall works specialist (QW3) from a maximium of three different firms.

A competency assessment of each of the proposed works specialists will be carried out on the basis of the information provided in response to questionnaire QW3. These assessments will be on a pass/fail basis overall. Should all specialists proposed in any one discipline fail to meet the minimium criteria set out then the candidate's overall proposal will be eliminated.

No tenderer will be reimbursed for any expense incurred in the prequalification or tendering processes. The contracting authority accepts no liability for any such costs, irrespective of the outcome of the competition, or if the competition is postponed or cancelled.

The Freedom of Information Acts 1997 and 2003 shall apply to this procurement process. Tenderers shall state if any (and the reason why) information supplied by them in response to this notice is confidential or commercially sensitive or should not be disclosed in respect of a request for information under the Freedom of Information Acts 1997 and 2003.

All applications must be submitted in HARD COPY (two copies required in each case) to the correct location by the deadline advised. In addition to the two hard copies, one soft copy should also be provided.

Submissions should be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly labelled "Expression of Interest for the Multi Storey Extension to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, Dooradoyle, Limerick".

This notice is being published by the HSE on behalf of Leben Developments Ltd. which will be the contracting authority for the intended works. The development is supported by the Mid-Western Hospitals Development Trust, the Parkinson's Association of Ireland Mid-West Branch, and TLC4CF Mid-West Branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland. The new facility will be utilised by the HSE for the provision of healthcare services in the mid-west.
