We are seeking to acquire a fully anechoic radio chamber that is optimised for the frequency range 1.0 to 86 GHz with particular attention to the 1.8-3.0 GHz, 24-31 GHz and 71-86 GHz frequency bands. The chamber is intended for low power uses (<100 watts emitted power). The chamber will be utilised for far-field and near-field antenna characterisation and over-the-air protocol testing for future 5G telecommunication systems. View the procurement ยป

The contract will cover the provision, of a GMDSS A3 system to replace the current SKANTI System. The replacement system is to provide similar services and functionality (unless noted otherwise elsewhere in the attached document) to the existing system and should seamlessly interface with existing Irish Naval Service communications systems.
