The scheme consists of the design and construction of 27 km of dual carriageway linking the Nenagh Bypass in Tipperary to the Limerick Southern Ring Road Phase 1 in Limerick. It includes a linking road to Birdhill in Tipperary and may include the upgrading of the Nenagh Bypass to a dual carriageway. It is being prepared on the basis of the published Limerick County Council (N7 Nenagh to Limerick High Quality Dual Carriageway) Compulsory Purchase Order 2003.
