Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: MN_302 Liffey Temporary Bridge. RPA intends to enter into a contract for the design and construction of a temporary bridge over the river Liffey between Marlborough Street and Hawkins Street. The temporary bridge is required for use until a permanent bridge which will be constructed separately in close proximity has been completed and commissioned. As part of the planning process, the supply and installation of the temporary bridge is dependent on the granting of an enforceable Railway Order for Metro North. Should the granting of an enforceable Railway Order be delayed significantly from what is currently envisaged, RPA may exercise the design element of the contract only. Consequently, Candidates shortlisted to tender will be asked to price the design and construction elements of the contract separately. For the design element, the contractor will be required to: — Develop the preliminary design as supplied by RPA, through to detailed design for approval by RPA. For the construction element, the contractor will be required to: — Supply and install the bridge, — Maintain the bridge during operation, — Decommission the bridge and make good the site. Interested Candidiates should request a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) from the contact in I.1 above before the deadline in IV.3.3.
