This Contract provides the necessary sewerage infrastructure to service development lands in the North Cobh area and is being carried out as an advance contract to the Cork Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme. The works are to be carried out in the area to the northwest of Cobh town in County Cork, primarily in the townland of Ballynoe. The sewers will be laid along public roads and through private lands. The contract comprises the provision of foul and surface water sewers and suitable foul and surface water outfalls to Cork Harbour. The foul outfall is to be a temporary outfall until such time as the Cork Lower Harbour Sewerage Scheme is complete and the foul wastewater from the North Cobh area can be diverted to this scheme. The estimated maximum time for completion of the works is 39 weeks.
