Combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) - Great Island Project - generator step-up transformer. Endesa Ireland wishes to invite expressions of interest for the supply, testing, transport to site, installation and commissioning of a Generator step-up transformer for the Great Island CCGT Generating Station project. The preliminary characteristics subject to final design and specifications will be as follows: — 3-phase transformer YNdxx 225 ±12x1 % / 21 kV (On-load tap changer), — Sn = 550 MVA, — IEC relevant design standards as well as European Directives for CE marking. The supply will include accessories and spare parts as will be described in the final technical specification at tender stage. It is anticipated the generator step-up transformer will be required to be commissioned during the summer of 2012. It is envisaged the destination port for the Generator Step-Up Transformer will be the Port of Waterford. Further detail will be set out in later tender documentation. The Great Island CCGT project has received planning permission under the strategic infrastructure act.
