FÁS, the Training and Employment Authority was established in January 1988 under the Labour Services Act 1987. Its functions include the operation of training and employment programmes, the provision of an employment/recruitment service and an advisory and support service for business. The Overseas Graduate Programme (OGP) will place unemployed honours graduates into full-time employment with companies in China & Japan. The initial arrangement was for two years but may be extended by mutual agreement. FAS is seeking the services of a local representative (part-time) based fulltime in Japan who will be the provider of: specific services to FAS in the promotion, monitoring and implementation of the FAS Overseas Graduate Programme – through companies & other appropriate organisations in Japan.
