Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: VOIP Solution. Currently, the University telephony environment consists of a combination of mobile and fixed devices. The University has a longstanding investment in Meridian 1 PABX. This PABX is fully IP enabled however there has been a small investment in VoIP telephony deployment to date. Organisationally voice and data telephony services have been separately maintained and managed by the Buildings Office and Computer Services. The requirement to deliver VoIP to the current building project requires a significant expansion of the VoIP capability. Over time it is expected that most telephony services will migrate to a VoIP base.
