Iarnrod Eireann–Irish Rail
GSM-R System for Iarnrod Eireann. Iarnrod Eireann is seeking to procure a GSM-R radio system for the rail network. The initial scope of this project will be to implement GSM-R over the DART area (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) and fit mobile terminals to the EMU fleet (Electric Multiple Unit). It is proposed in the future to extend the GSM-R infrastructure to other lines. It is intended to set up a number of contracts: 1. An overall system design, supply, install, test and commission contract covering the DART area and EMU fleet; 2. A framework contract for possible future extensions of the system; 3. Framework contracts for the supply of mobiles and portables as required. N.B. Please note that this notice is an extension to the closing date of Contract Notice 2010/S 97-146918 published on 20.5.2010. Any candidate who previously expressed interest in the above referenced notice and who has submitted a completed pre-qualification questionnaire need not re-submit the PQQ document.
