Iarnrod Eireann–Irish Rail
Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: SE 4005 FR Signalling training for infrastructure signalling staff. Irish Rail Infrastructure, is responsible for Ireland’s rail infrastructure, the tracks, signals, electrification plant, tunnels and stations. We provide access to our tracks and stations for use by our customers, the passenger and freight train operators. We maintain and renew the network. Irish Rail has a requirement for the provision of Signalling Training. The programme should be externally recognised and accredited. The content must provide the underpinning knowledge required for participants to be licensed at the appropriate level by the IRSE. The training provider will be required to design and implement the programme to achieve this end and coordinate the accreditation approval process on behalf of the Company. Participants on the programme will be qualified electricians, experienced Railway Signalling technicians and, experienced Signal Gangers and Operatives from within Iarnród Éireann who are undergoing further training. Irish Rail may award this piece of work to one or more suppliers.
