Independent inspection services in support of the natural gas safety regulatory framework. The Commission for Energy Regulation (the ‘Commission’) is the independent body responsible for overseeing the liberalisation of Ireland's energy sector. The Energy (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2006 gives the Commission new functions in the area of gas safety. In order to support the continued implementation and operation of the Gas Safety Framework, as envisaged in the published documents on the Commission website, the commission requires an independent technical inspector to provide Inspection Services To assist the newly established gas safety division for a 2-year period (subject to review after Year 1) commencing in 2010.
