Irish Blood Transfusion Service
Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Transport of Blood/Blood Products and Taxi Service. The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) has a requirement for Blood and Blood Products to be delivered to Hospitals throughout the country including Dublin. The Blood/Blood Components will be collected from Hospital Services Department based in either the National Blood Centre (NBC) James's Street Dublin 8 or the Munster Regional Transfusion Centre (MRTC) St Finbarrs Hospital, Douglas Rd, Cork. The hospitals that these two centres deliver to are attached to Appendix 1. This delivery service is outside the scheduled deliveries currently made by the IBTS. There is a requirement to provide this service 24 X 7 including Bank and Public Holidays.
