Its role is to provide rail transport services within the State of Ireland. In recent years the Company has modernised its service offering by renewing fixed infrastructure, upgrading station facilities, replacing and increasing its rolling stock fleet and enhancing customer services. Iarnród Éireann’s key priority is the safety of its customers and staff. With that in mind it has invested considerably in the development of its safety systems and procedures as part of the process of reengineering the railways. An integral part of its safety process is the management of all related information. The Company currently uses a number of different systems to record such information and now wants to consolidate this on one system. — Consolidate all safety related information in one central source which can be easily updated and interrogated, — Track all safety related indicators including incidents, competency, risks, audit results, accident/incident recommendation implementation, document control and safety critical training. The Company wishes to receive expressions of interest from parties that may be in a position to supply a system that meets this requirement. Parties interested in being considered for a possible contract award are asked to complete the attached questionnaire. Qualifying parties will then be issued with tender documents giving them the opportunity to present their proposed methodology and commercial offer to the Company.
