Detailed description: Construction of a Special Needs Unit Single-storey Stand-Alone Extension, Site Alteration Works, and associated site works at existing primary school and grounds. The existing school buildings are to remain live throughout the contract until substantial completion of the new school building and associated works has been certified. External Works include site preparation including diversion of existing site services, new site boundaries and alterations, construction of new paved areas, construction of new staff car park space and entrance, watermain services, foul and surface water drainage services, site services, and associated landscaping. The existing Classroom and Staff Room Accommodation will be modified and relocated to accommodate New Staff Room and SET Rooms. The Gross Internal Floor Area of the new extension is 321m2 (excluding alterations to the existing building). Minimum standards and qualification required: As stated in DoES-QW2-Suitability-Assessment-Questionnaire-Open-2017.Tenderers are required to read the DoES-QW2-Suitability-Assessment-Questionnaire-Open-2017- carefully and to make sure that they meet the minimum standards stated therein. Tenderers who do not meet those requirements should not submit a tender as they will be excluded at award stage. All Tenderers are liable for their own costs of tendering. The Contract will be awarded on the basis of lowest Comparative Cost of Tender. Contract is intended to be awarded to a single main contractor. If a number of contractors apply as a group or joint venture and are successful, either a lead contractor must be nominated who will be responsible for providing the service or a Joint Venture must be formed or be in existence prior to the date of this contract notice, with whom the Awarding Authority will sign the contract.
