Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Supply and Delivery of Sports Equipment. The Irish Sports Council is currently operating a programme called Buntús in selected primary schools and childcare facilities around the country. Buntús Start assists childcare practitioners to provide a fun introduction to physical activity through a combination of adult-initiated and child-led activities. The Buntús Play and Spóirt programmes act as a support to the primary PE curriculum with a particular focus on the development of motor skills. All Buntús programmes consist of three elements: a bag of sports equipment, resource cards and a training module for teachers and childcare practitioners. The programme is being rolled out through the Irish Sports Council’s Local Sports Partnership network.
