Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Design and construction of Advanced Preparatory Works. The contract will consist of the design and construction of works as listed below required as part of advanced preparatory works programme for the Mater Campus Hospital Development. The contract will consist of the following: Demolition works and the erection of temporary buildings/structures; civil works, excavation and earthwork including drainage diversions. Temporary soil-retaining works to maintain structural integrity of surrounding buildings, roads and earthworks;· Excavation for a double-level basement, including associated dewatering. Removal of soil and spoil, possibly including contaminated soil, and disposal in accordance with current legislation. Possible asbestos removal and disposal in accordance with current legislation. Supply and installation of new mechanical & electrical services; modifications and diversions of existing mechanical & electrical services; Decommissioning and removal of redundant mechanical & electrical services. Interconnection to distribution centres in existing operational Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. and Ancillary services including design and inspection, health & safety (full compliance with current health and safety legislation from date of appointment until completion of contract), quality control and other required services.
