Expressions of interest are invited from suitably experienced contractors who wish to tender for works comprising the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment works serving the town of Tullamore in County Offaly together with design, construction, operation and maintenance of a regional sludge treatment facility for wastewater sludges arising in County Offaly. The wastewater treatment plant shall have a capacity of not less than 30 000 PE and may be extended to 45 000 PE where so instructed by the Contracting Authority. The sludge treatment works shall have the capacity to treat arisings from a total Population Equivalent of 80 000. The works proposed include the operation of the existing wastewater treatment works in Tullamore during the design and construction stage of the project. The operation and maintenance period shall be 20 years or less as provided for in the tender documents.
