Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Tranche 2 Motorway Service Area Contract – M9 Kilcullen. The Contracting Authority (National Roads Authority) wishes to procure a contractor to design and construct a motorway service area (subject to planning approval) on the Kilcullen to Carlow section of the M9 Motorway, which is currently under construction. The proposed motorway service area will be a single sided facility and will be accessible from the motorway by means of a new grade separated junction to be constructed as part of this contract. The motorway service area will comprise facilities for motorists and their passengers including extensive parking, fuel station , an amenities building consisting of a restaurant, convenience shop and toilet facilities, and a Garda enforcement area.
