Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: RFP - security services for T2. Terminal 2 is a new development for Dublin Airport comprising 75 000 m² of floor area across 3 main sections, check in building, main terminal building and Pier E. In addition, to the internal areas there is circa 10 000 m² of external area within the T2 demise which is enclosed with 1.2km of landside/airside fence. It is envisaged that the Terminal 2 zone, will remain a security restricted area throughout the Operational Readiness and Trailing (ORAT) stage until the operational readiness process has been achieved. The ORAT team will require that access is controlled, and the building fabric is secured, to ensure that the safety and security of Terminal 2 and the assets contained within are not compromised, nor should the progression of T2 interfere with the safety, security or proper operation of existing Dublin Airport Operations. In parallel to security responsibilities operatives will be required to carry out certain duties in line with the Terminal 2 fire strategy. The security service will be required for 6 month duration commencing from the 1.5.2010. Operatives will be required to mobilise 3 weeks in advance of this date to receive site specific training.
