Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Data Capture & Document Management System for Hospital Pathology Services. HSE laboratory Service (covering Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny and S. Tipperary) wishes to; a) automate the registration of test requests onto the Laboratory Information System (LIS) using scanning and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) technology, b) store the electronic image of all request forms indefinitely c) store the image of other laboratory documentation. To this end the HSE seeks to work with a partner to provide a request form scanning and order entry system to the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
