Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Roofing Contract for a Student Learning Leisure and Sports Complex at UCD. University College Dublin would like to award a single contract for the construction of a new 11 000 m² Student Learning Leisure and Sports Complex at its campus in Belfield, Dublin 4, IRELAND. The objective of this Contract Notice is to tender the roofing contract in advance of the main contract works. The details of the successful Specialist under this Contract Notice will then be included in the tender documents for the Main Contract works. The Main Contract Works and a number of Specialist Lots (including the Roofing Contract) have been advertised previously as OJEU Notice 2008/S 105-140770. The Roofing Contract was advertised as a Non-Mandatory Lot under this notice (published 31.5.2008) and is now being re-advertised independently as a Mandatory Lot. The building is to be constructed on a site between two active buildings, the Student Centre and Sports Centre, with connections into both buildings. Facilities within the Complex will include a debating chamber, drama theatre, dance studio, cinema, 50 m swimming pool and fitness centre with associated changing facilities, medical centre, media centre, retail and café space. It is estimated that the overall works duration will be 18 months from the award of the Main Contract. The Main Contractor will determine the programme thereafter.
