Compact Sweeper Specification Engine: minimum 2.8 litre, water cooled diesel engine Chassis: fully galvanised and/or with waxoll system (Protection) Wheelbase: no more than 1 400 mm Brakes: dual circuit brake system with disc brakes all round and with hydrostatic parking brake on the rear axle Speed: minimum 25 km/hr (in transit) Sweep: up to 2.5 m Hopper: lightweight corrosion resistant hopper (minimum 1.8m³) Steering: hydrostatic steering with height & rake adjustable steering column Weights: the sweeper to have an ULW of not more than 2 700 kgs. And a GVW of not more than 4 000 kgs. No higher than 1 970 mm (excluding the knockdown beacon) The sweeper shall have a kerb climbing facility. 1 520 mm Colour: the sweeper to be painted in the colours of Kilkenny Borough Council (Emerald Green RAL 6001) Warranty: tender shall include option of two or more years’ warranty. A full specification of the vehicle shall accompany the Tender and persons submitting Tenders should indicate time of delivery from date of receipt of Official Order. The supplier shall state whether Tender price is price protected or subject to alteration at time of delivery. The element of VAT shall be clearly stated.
