Description of the procurement
Trócaire have an ambition to make Equity, Diversity and Inclusion central to what we do and how we do it, across all areas of work including partners and programmes. In realising our ambition, it will provide an opportunity to bring attention to disability awareness and set standards for developing inclusive working practices. Trócaire's Strategic Plan commits is to becoming a much more agile and resilient organisation. Key to this will be the development of a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion. This includes strengthening the diversity of our workforce, increasing opportunity for mobility and developing systems to support a global workforce. Our Strategic Plan also articulates our commitment to Localisation, which is rooted in a commitment to shift the balance of power towards people and organisations in the Global South. We recognise that in order to achieve this we need to be very clear on the current state, knowing what the gap is and the expectations we have of leaders and managers as they will be drivers of change. Internally, we know that we will need to adapt our own employment practices to ensure we are meeting the highest standards of inclusion, whilst responding to the changing external environment. This includes both a more diverse workforce and our localisation commitments. We are now seeking tenders from organisations who have expertise and a demonstrable track record of success in partnering with an organisation such as ours in the development of a Global Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy that will have impact and add value.
