Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: PG108T607 - inspection, testing and maintenance of water based fire protection systems. ESB Power Generation, Ireland is proposing to place a contract for the routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of its water-based fire protection systems which are installed at various power stations through its organisation in Ireland. The service shall be provided by a qualified service contractor(s). The appointed service contractor(s) shall provide a routine inspection, testing and maintenance service to a specific schedule on the water-based fire protection systems. These will include hydrant systems (standpipe and hose) and allied equipment, deluge systems (fixed water spray and foam-water spray systems), sprinkler systems, including the water supplies, storage tanks, fire pumps and pipe mains for these systems. The service shall be carried out in accordance with procedures meeting or exceeding those specified in the National Fire Protection Association Code, NFPA 25, and the system manufacturers instructions for the water-based fire protection systems and allied equipment ESB Power Generation is seeking expressions-of-interest from organisations that are certified and approved by an internationally recognised body (e.g., the UK Loss Prevention Council or equivalent having currency within EU) for the servicing and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems.
