Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: FÁS: Framework Agreement - Mechanical Maintenance & Installation Services. FAS (Foras Áiseanna Saothair the “Contracting Authority”), the Training and Employment Authority is seeking to establish a framework agreement for Mechanical Services as set out in more detail in the pre-qualification questionnaire (the “Framework Agreement”). The type of mechanical services works which may be awarded, but not limited to under the Framework Agreement will include:-. — Maintenance of air conditioning systems, — Maintenance of oil/gas heating and water systems, — Maintenance of compressed air plant, — Maintenance of BMS systems, — Maintenance of fume, gas and dust extraction systems, — Maintenance of oxyacetylene systems, — Maintenance of water purification systems, — Emergency callouts, — Miscellaneous Installation project works. The Contracting Authority intends to establish lots under the Framework Agreement for each region. Prospective service providers may express an interest in one or more region. FAS have in the region of 100 Premises nationally consisting of Training Facilities, Satellite Training Facilities, Employment Services Offices and Clinics. This number of premises may vary. Training Centres can range from approx. 2 000 sq meters to 11 500 sq meters and Employment Services Offices can range in size from approx. 100 sq meters to 500 sq meters. On the awarding of a maintenance contract, the service provider will be responsible for carrying out all works to a high standard, liaising with FAS Management, and ensuring a log of all works is kept up to date. The successful service provider will be required to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work 2005 and any subsequent Safety, Health and Welfare legislation including the requirement to have a Safety Statement and any Safety requirements of individual FAS Premises.
