Iarnrod Eireann–Irish Rail
Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Long Term Supply of Rail Clamps to Irish Rail. Iarnrod Eireann seeks expressions of interest for the supply of temporary rail joints (clamps) to temporarily secure rail joints for rail sections UIC 60kg, UIC54kg, BS113A, CIE 50kg using standard BS113A fishplates. Clamps to be user friendly and proven secure in operation and maintenance activities such as tamping. Suppliers will be required to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Chief Civil Engineer, Iarnrod Eireann, that the temporary joints are fit for purpose. Evidence of previous approval of the type(s) of joint offered by a major Railway operator may prove advantageous.
