(1) welding of rails in-situ, using the thermit welding process,under SmW-F format or approved equivalent; (2) Electric Arc Welding Repairs, squats, wheel burns, guage corner checking - personnel to be certified in flux cored and stick welding for carbon and manganese steel; (3) Grinding repair to switches and crossings in carbon and manganese steel. The work will take place at various locations throughout the Irish Rail Network on day and night shifts.
