The necessary support includes the following non exhaustive list in relation to vehicles: — Vehicle dynamics, — Braking systems, — Vehicle structures, — Wheelsets, — Bogies, — Fire performance and compliance, — Train control and systems, — Diesel traction systems, — -Diesel engines and powerpacks, — -Transmissions, — -Drive train, — Electric traction, — HVAC, — Powered door systems, — Vehicle interiors, — Vehicle accident repairs, — Vehicle communications, — WSP and sanding systems, — Wheel/rail interface issues. In addition to the above, the following areas of support should be considered: — Standards including legislative requirements, — International standards and TSI’s, — Maintenance and technical training, — Environmental issues e.g emissions.
