Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Tender for Dublin City Council park warden service 2010. Tenders are invited by the Parks and Landscape Services Division, Dublin City Council, from competent and experienced firms to provide a parks warden service in the Dublin City Council administrative area for a contract period commencing 15.3.2010 until 15.10.2010 inclusive. The required parks warden service shall operate 7 days per week for the duration of the contract period, including public and bank holidays. The primary objective of the parks warden service will be to ensure, as far as practical, the public enjoyment of parks and open spaces by eliminating anti-social and unacceptable behaviour from these areas and by encouraging local community involvement in all appropriate park activities, in accordance with parks and open spaces bye-laws. It shall be a uniformed, mobile service with appropriate communications which will integrate with existing Dublin City Council staff and services to ensure as far as possible the safe and secure enjoyment by the public of municipal parks, open spaces and amenity areas. The administrative area comprises approximately 120 major public parks and open spaces, under the area management of 6 district parks officers. The size, locations and distribution of the areas of the contract are indicated on the attached map. Please note that the Phoenix Park and St. Stephenโ€™s Green are not in the care of Dublin City Council and do not form part of this contract.
