Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Framework Agreement for Printed Materials 2010 - 2013. Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) is the only higher education institution (HEI) in the Midlands of Ireland. Established in 1970, it has expanded in size, scope and influence over the period. There are currently 6 000 full-time and part-time students in AIT studying a broad range of courses offered by the institute’s four schools of business, engineering, humanities and science. Reflecting the diverse nature of AIT’s operations, the institute’s print requirements are extensive and varied. These range from large-run, multi-page, full-colour publications through to shorter run promotional materials. This tender does not include or require the provision of design services. For each item, AIT will provide finished artwork to the successful tenderer. This tender does not cover printed materials contracts the value of which is less than or equal to €1,500 (exclusive of VAT). An overview of publications published in a typical year may include the following: — Undergraduate prospectus: 15 000 print run, 224pp, full-colour throughout, 210 x 260 mm, — Postgraduate prospectus: 1 000 print run, 96pp, full-colour throughout, 210 x 260 mm, — Part-time prospectus: 12 000 print run, 120pp, full-colour throughout, 210 x 297 mm, — AIT Life magazine: 20 000 print run, 20pp, full-colour throughout, 210 x 297 mm, — Part-time programmes promotional leaflet: 80 000 print run, 4pp, full-colour throughout, 210 x 297 mm, — Graduation booklet: 4 000. 32pp, full-colour throughout, 210 x 210 mm.
