The Contracting Authority proposes awarding a contract(s) for the Supply of Bus Pole Identification Equipment to Facilitate Accessibility. Dublin Bus currently has a population of approximately 4 000 bus poles which require a stop number to be fitted which is legible to our customers including the blind and partially sighted. To assist with this project it is proposed to put an embossed plate on our bus stop poles which do not already have a timetable panel fitted. It is envisaged that the bus stop number sign will have a stop number in brail below a legible embossed printed number that will wrap around the bus pole.
