Rail vehicle tracking system. Iarnród Éireann - Irish Rail which is the national rail service operator in Ireland is seeking expressions of interest from candidates to provide a railway proven system for vehicle tracking of the existing fleet and future additions to the fleet. The system will allow IÉ to track rolling stock movements to key locations on the network (infrastructure) e.g. lathes, washes, depots, wheel monitoring locations, sidings at which cleaning services are carried out. The system may be required to interface with other IÉ systems and provide outputs in a suitable open format. approximately 325 units made up of one or more vehicles. undefined number of locations but thought to be approximately 50. This tender may be delivered as: 1) Design, supply and provide technical support of equipment only; or 2) Design, supply, install and commission all equipment; or 3) Design, supply, install, commission all equipment, provide technical support and maintain.
