Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) was established under the Horse and Greyhound Racing Act, 2001. It is a commercial semi-state body that took over the functions previously carried out by the Irish Horseracing Authority (IHA) since 1994. The IHA, in turn, replaced the Racing Board which was established in 1945. HRI is responsible for the administration and control of Horse Racing in Ireland. HRI subsidiaries include Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM), Tote Ireland Ltd and the HRI Racecourse Division- Leopardstown, Navan, Tipperary and Fairyhouse. HRI and Subsidiaries are now seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified service providers to provide Car Parking services at HRI Racecourses on racedays. This includes but is not limited to the following: (a) The management of public and staff vehicles from entry from the public road to egress back to the public road. (b) The development and management of a parking plan for each racecourse to include an emergency vehicle route. (c) The development and management of a parking plan for each Racecourse. (d) The provision of a safe walkway for pedestrians to the enclosure from their car.
