Refurbishment of Mainland Tankfarm, Tarbert, Co. Kerry, Ireland. The National Oil Reserves Agency (NORA) has acquired the lease on an area known as the Mainland Tank Farm at the Tarbert Generating Station, Tarbert, Co. Kerry, Ireland. NORA also holds a Lease of Rights relating to the use of the Jetty and the installation and use of pipes between the Jetty and the Mainland Tankfarm. NORA intends to refurbish the Mainland Tankfarm to provide c. 140 000 tonnes of strategic storage capacity for kerosene, gas oil, and diesel. Civil/structural works. Demolition of concrete pipe supports and drains. Design and construction of a truck loading yard and control building. Design and construction of a firewater pump house and yard. Design and construction of an impermeable lining system suitable for the storage of class II petroleum product. Design and construction of reinforced concrete bund walls and reinforced concrete road. Refurbishment of existing pumphouse and switchroom. Design and construct new pipe supports. Mechanical works. Process system design. Refurbishment of 4 no. 61 m diameter, 14.6 m high storage tanks including installation of double containment floors. Design and installation of 300 mm oil pipelines from Jetty to Tankfarm. Design and installation of a 4-arm, bottom filling, truck loading system. Design and installation of marker dye injection systems. Installation of a new water main. Firefighting works. Design and installation of a fire fighting system comprising foam/water application and water deluge system. Electrical, instrumentation and control works. Design and installation of electrical supply and distribution system. Upgrade of lighting. Installation of CCTV security system. Installation of fire alarm and intruder alarm.
