Multidisciplinary Child Assessments in Dublin North City and County - CHO 9 Community Services including Primary Care, Disability and Mental Health Services

The HSE is seeking innovative health providers to deliver multidisciplinary Health and Social Care Professional assessments of children and adolescents. Many of these assessments will include assessing for a possible diagnosis of Autism. Under the 2005 Disability Act children have the right to an Assessment of Need. An Assessment of Need is an assessment carried out for children or young people in order to determine whether they have a disability. The assessment also identifies a child's health needs and what health services may be required to meet these. The Act also entitles children to a report which outlines what services they will receive. A substantial proportion of assessments required under the Tender will be Assessments of Need, Providers should be familiar with and able to meet all requirements of this process. Dependent on the presentation of the child being assessed, assessment components will vary and may include: Initial screening, Child Development Parent Interview ,including Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised or similar where relevant, Cognitive, Developmental Assessment, Assessment of Adaptive Functioning, Occupational Therapy Assessment, Speech and Language Therapy Assessment, School consultation and observation, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule assessment, additional Psychological assessments, where clinically indicated.
