Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: AMNCH (SPECT / CT) Gamma camera system & associated building works. AMNCH, which opened in 1998, is a 620 bed hospital which was formed through an amalgamation of three hospitals, Meath, Adelaide and National Children’s hospitals. The hospital is a teaching hospital associated with the Faculty of Health Sciences, Trinity College, Dublin, Eastern Health Board, Department of Health and Trinity College, Dublin. The Hospital serves as a primary referral centre for the immediate catchment area, i.e. South West Dublin, North Kildare and West Wicklow, with a population of approximately 560,000 and also accepts secondary and tertiary referral form the county and regional hospitals. AMNCH invites tenders for the manufacture, supply, placement / installation, commissioning & maintenance of: single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT / CT) gamma camera system and associated building works. General objective of this project: The main objective of this project is to identify a system which can replace, decommission, remove and dispose of an existing gamma camera with a SPECT CT Gamma camera and associated building works. The objective of this project is to appoint a tenderer who has a clear proven ability in the field of nuclear medicine. They must provide value for money. AMNCH Building works requirements: With regard to the Building, Services, and related works associated with the SPECT / CT gamma camera system installation at AMNCH. The successful tenderer must be capable of delivering a turnkey operation to include all building works using fully bona fide building contractors. The successful Tenderer(s) must meet our requirements as outlined in Section 3 - Particular Performance Specifications Relating to Items of Equipment. AMNCH intends to purchase an initial quantity of one SPECT / CT gamma camera system, following tender award but may over the duration of this tender / contract period, without prejudice, or legally binding, purchase, up to two or more quantities of equipment.
