The aims of the platform are as follows; โ To provide a structured research and training framework for Ireland's investment in advanced imaging applied to the Life Sciences, โ To establish Graduate Training Programmes in Biophotonics and Imaging, โ To bridge the Physical and Life Sciences interface and, through partnership with Industry, to enhance technology developments in BioPhotonics and Imaging, โ To provide a national access to Core Facilities in Molecular, Cellular, Small Animal and Human Research Imaging, โ To provide the infrastructure for Ireland's participation in large-scale international research programmes underpinned by Biophotonics and Imaging.
