The Bioengineering Technology Centre has recently been established within ITT Dublin to research, develop and test innovative designs for medical devices. The BTC has recently been awarded funding under the Enterprise Ireland Institutes of Technology Research Equipment Grant Programme and under the HEA Research Facilities Enhancement Scheme and now invites tenders for the supply of its Biomaterials Testing System and Equipment. Access to this equipment will transform the BTC into a leading facility in Bioengineering Test and Product development for the medical industry. Such a facility does not currently exist in Ireland. This tender is divided into 4 lots as follows: Lot 1 – Biomaterials Testing System for Multiaxial Testing. Lot 2- Hip Simulator Subsystem. Lot 3 - Spine Kinematics Subsystem. Lot 4 - Biomechanical Gripping and Extensometry and Uniaxial Hip Stem Fatigue Simulator.
