Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Postal Automation Equipment Maintenance. An Post, the National Provider of postal services in Ireland, seeks competent service provider(s) to meet its requirements for postal automation equipment maintenance services. An Post have 23 machines at 4 centres (Dublin and Portlaoise: Siemens; Athlone and Cork: NEC), with one major conveyor installation in Dublin. The service provider(s) must support the operation of the said equipment and software systems throughout the period of the contract and will also manage inventory and the procurement of spares and consumables. The service provider(s) may be required to tender for the support of mechanical equipment supporting the machines, which includes BES, compressors, UPS, Fire systems and Generator checks and maintenance. It is anticipated that the contract will commence in 2007 for a period of 3 years. An post reserves the right to award the contract(s) to more than one service provider.
