Description of the procurement
The existing original school building was constructed in 1955, with a small extension added around 2003/2004, and has a floor area of approx. 395 sq. metres and comprises of 2 number mainstream classrooms, staff room, 2 number resource rooms, toilets, office, store, boiler house and circulation areas. The remedial works that require to be carried out at the above school consist of the complete upgrade of the existing oil fired heating centre serving the main school building to a LPG gas fired heating centre complete with wall mounted condensing gas boiler package, including twin wall stainless steel flue connection to the existing masonry chimney, stainless steel liner within the masonry chimney, 80 litre indirect hot water cylinder, low loss flow and return headers, provision of a LPG gas supply to the heating centre from a new external LPG bulk gas storage tank, including the provision of new circulating pumps, thermostatic and frost protection controls, control / isolation valves, air and dirt separators, pipework, pipework insulation, gas safety detection / isolation system including the associated electrical works, builders attendances, including the de-commissioning, disconnection and proper disposal of the redundant mechanical and electrical services, including the existing double skin PVC oil storage tank with a capacity of approx. 1,350 litres, etc.
