Mater Misericordiae University Hospital Ltd

Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Expression of Interest - External Logistics solution for Warehousing & Delivery of Hospital supplies. The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin is undergoing a major expansion over the next 4 to 5 years. In order to facilitate extensive demolition, reconstruction and new building construction during the expansion phase 2006 to 2010, certain non-core but essential activities must be relocated. The non-pharmacy Supplies Department provides essential and extensive services to the medical teams within the facility. The current location of this department will be demolished to make way for a 100 bed unit. Due to the extensive nature of the development, traffic access restrictions and the obvious requirement to prioritise available facilities for medical care, a suitable interim location will not be available within the campus. Additional emergency deliveries may be required from time to time and these must be completed within one hour of call off. Receive goods from suppliers, check against order, unpack and stock, Input receiving data to computer system ยท Receive pick lists from the Mater Supplies Department, pick to agreed priority, remove and dispose of outer packaging, place items in unit load trays, identify items (eventually by bar code), place in trolleys and load to vehicle; Update stock status on computer system; Deliver to agreed schedules; 3. 3.1 The Service Provider (SP) will have an existing facility within the greater Dublin area which is suitable for the hygienic handling and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
