National Roads Authority
Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Contract for the provision of Audit Services in relation to Land Acquired for National Roads Schemes. The National Roads Authority is charged with implementing the development of the national roads programme in accordance with the policy frame work set out in National Development Plans and Government transport policy and works closely with local authorities in implementing it's programme. In the years, 2000 to 2006 inclusive, 79 road schemes have been completed throughout the country. The audit will involve, on a scheme by scheme basis, comparing all land acquired for the scheme, (whether by agreement or compulsory purchase), with that which has been used for construction of the road to ascertain and identify the extent of the excess land. The scope of the contract will be more fully detailed in the tender documents but, in general terms, will include all 79 national road schemes completed in the period 2000-2006 inclusive and a limited number of schemes completed in the period 1994-1999. The anticipated timeframe for delivery will be 1 year.
