Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Supply of a Bioreactor and Ancillary Equipment for the Shannon ABC at IT Tralee. The Institutes of Technology based in Limerick and Tralee have combined to create a new world-class Applied Biotechnology Research Centre i.e. Shannon Applied Biotechnology Research Centre [Shannon ABC]. Shannon ABC combines strengths in natural products, nutraceuticals, fermentation and bioprocessing. The centre is core funded by Enterprise Ireland and will contain state-of-the-art research facilities with a mission to drive and deliver a valuable, integrated approach to solving problems and providing solutions concerning the complexity of natural products and the unique bioresources they contain. The centre will participate at regional, national and international level research which will be industrially focused and collaborative in nature. Tenders are invited from suitably qualified companies to supply, deliver, install, commission and, provide training for the use, of a Bioreactor and ancillary equipment at the Institute of Technology Tralee. This is a competitive procurement process in accordance with EU procurement rules. Tendering companies can apply for the complete project or select from the following lots. Lot 1 100L Bioreactor and ancillary equipment. Lot 2 5L Bioreactor system. All documentation is available for download from the Irish Government Public Procurement Website www.e-tenders.gov.ie.
