Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Supply of Pharmaceutical Formulation Analysis Equipment. ITT Dublin has secured funding under the Enterprise Ireland (EI) sponsored ‘Research Equipment for Institutes of Technology Scheme 2008’ to support the development of its research capability at ITT Dublin. As part of this process, we are seeking to strengthen our current capabilities in the area of pharmaceutical formulation technologies and specifically in the areas of homogenisation, rheometry, differential scanning calorimetry, dissolution, and moisture analysis. ITT Dublin is home to the National Pharmaceutical Education Centre through which it has a pilot-scale Formulation and Mixing technologies complete with CIP and SIP capability. In addition, ITT Dublin has capabilities for granulation and drying, tabletting and associated testing (dissolution, friability, etc.). This tender is being conducted by the Centre for Pharmaceutical Research and Development Group at ITT Dublin and will enhance the development of further industrial links and collaborations in the formulations arena. The equipment being tendered for is divided into 5 Lots as follows: Lot 1 – Homogeniser. Lot 2 – Rheometer with Air Compressor. Lot 3 – Differential Scanning Calorimeter. Lot 4 - Climatic Chamber with Moisture Analyser. Lot 5 - Dissolution Bath with Enhancer Cell. Tenders may be submitted for one or more Lots.
