According to the 2007 work programme of the European Foundation the study aims at delivering new insights into the factors driving industrial relations at trans-national level. One of the factors which was identified in previous research as a driving force of new developments of industrial relations at transnational level are international framework agreements. This research project aims at a mapping and an in-depth analysis of the existing international framework agreements. Common procurement vocabulary (CPV): 73210000. Quantity or scope of the contract II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: A) The contractor will be asked to provide an analytical report mapping, describing, analysing and assessing the existing international framework agreements. In doing so the research project will follow the path of the study of the European Foundation form 1998 into the so-called article 13 Agreements of the European Works Council Directive. B) To complement the above, the contractor will be asked to carry out a maximum of 5 case study analyses into companies having introduced international framework agreements in order to analyse and assess whether the IFAs can be interpreted as a vehicle for the internationalisation of industrial relations.
