St James's Hospital
Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: Provision of Immunoassy System to SJH Microbiology Department. The Microbiology Laboratory at St James's Hospital currently provides a comprehensive diagnostic and clinical microbiology service, performing about 85,000 serology/virology tests per year. The main users of this service include the Bone Marrow Transplantation unit, Genitourinary Medicine and Infectious Diseases, Hepatology, and the National Centre for Hereditary and Coagulation Diseases, all based on-site in St James's Hospital. In order to cope with increased workloads and to improve turnaround the laboratory has a need to upgrade its current serology immunoassay system. Subject to budgetary approval St James's Hospital is seeking competitive tenders from companies to replace our existing immunoassay system in order to provide additional testing capacity and improved sample handling.
