FÁS, the Training and Employment Authority was established in January 1988 under the Labour Services Act 1987. Its functions include the operation of training and employment programmes, the provision of an employment/recruitment service and an advisory and support service for business. FÁS has a staff complement of approximately 2 000 people and a network of offices and training centres throughout the country. FÁS is now seeking to contract with an Occupational Health Provider in relation to a range of services on a national basis. The range of services required may include, but may not be limited to the following: — Pre-Employment Health Screening, — Pre-Retirement Medicals, — Attendance Management Consultations, — Ill-Health Retirement Reviews, — Employee Health Initiatives, — Workplace Assessments.
