Total Requirement Supply, Logistics, Distribution and Repair of GSM handsets for a new mobile operator. Description. An Post, established in 1984, operates the National Postal Service, along with an array of money transmission, savings and retail services throughout Ireland, seek one or more economic operators for the supply, customisation, logistics, distribution and repair of 3GSM compliant handsets for its MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) offering. An Post operate a network of more than 1000 retail centres in Ireland, which will shortly provide access to a range of mobile prepay propositions. Its An Posts intention to provide a range of lower tier handsets, to include the supply, customisation, fulfilment and maintenance and repair services to the consumer market directly through its retail chain and via the web. From launch the solution proposed must be scalable and cost effective in meeting our initial and ongoing requirement. The contract will be for a minimum of 3 years with an option to extend for a further two years. This will be tendered in Lots as specified in III.2.1) and Annex B below. Interested parties can tender for individual lots, combination of lots or complete turnkey service (All lots). Lot 1 Supply of Handsets. The supply of lower tier 3GSM compliant handsets that can be certified to operate on the Vodafone Ireland 3GSM Network. Lot 2 Handset Customisation Services. The capability to customise and brand phone menu design, capability to flash handset software, capability to test handset functionality. Lot 3 Logistical Services. Virtual Warehousing, inventory management, fulfilment services and distribution of handsets to An Post retail network and delivery of handsets ordered via the web. LOT 4 Handset Maintenance and Repair Services. Manufacturer certified for Handset Repair (for handsets under manufacturer warranty and out of warranty).
