A requirement of this programme is to appoint a suitably experienced and competent outsourced contracting service/ works provider(s) to support Bord Gais. It is expected that the successful tenderer will be required to undertake some or all of the following services / works for the networks division of Bord Gais, covering both transmission and distribution. Network construction services. — Distribution main laying activities, — Distribution steel skid manufacture and supply, — Transmission AGI upgrades. Network emergency response services. — Distribution Emergency Response, — Transmission Emergency Repair. Network maintenance services. — Distribution Maintenance, — Distribution C& I Field Services, — Transmission Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Painting Maintenance, — Transmission Foot Patrol Survey. Network site work services & related activities including meter replacement. Network Meter Reading. Provision of technical and administrative personnel. It is envisaged that the above services / works will begin to be provided by the successful tenderer on a phased basis over an estimated duration of approximately two / three years. It is currently anticipated that the duration of the contract to be entered into with the successful tenderer is ten years with an option for Bord Gais to terminate the contract at the end of the fifth year.
