Title attributed to the contract by the contracting entity: Dublin Network Renewals Project (Planned Renewal of gas distribution network in the Dublin Region). Renewal of existing metallic (cast iron, spun iron, gun metal and steel) gas distribution (low pressure) network (including all associated services) with polyethylene (PE) by means of open cut, insertion, or other proven techniques. Planned Renewals Works may be allocated in discreet geographically compact packages by the contracting authority (BGE) according to best practice in the area of mains fracture risk management and network pressure management. These 'Planned Renewals Works' will include : · Compliance with Safety, Health and Welfare responsibilities · Renewal of all gas mains within a defined area · Renewal or transfer of all associated gas services · Installation of new internal pipework and relocation of gas meter at gas customer residences where required by the renewals works · Project Management (including liaison with BGE and its appointed representatives, all construction services, interface with relevant authorities and scheduling of all materials) · Construction supervision · Purchase of materials from approved suppliers · Safety inspections of all gas customer residences · Liaison with affected gas customers and local residents · Coordination with relevant local authorities, other utilities and third party contractors · Prompt delivery of as laid information.
